If you are having issues with getting a VPN running, whether it is initiated from a device behind the Ecessa appliance or from the Ecessa appliance itself, our Technical Support team is available to provide assistance and troubleshoot the issue. However, there are some very common things that should be confirmed, including:
- NAT traversal (NAT-T) is enabled if there is any form of NAT in use
- The IP addresses used for the VPN connection are allowed by the hosts for negotiation
- The VPN endpoints can communicate with each other by performing ping testing or logging into the remote endpoint in some way
- Negotiation settings are identical on both ends for the VPN connection
If these settings are confirmed to be correct, contact our Technical Support team for additional assistance.
