Registering a Virtual Machine

Virtual machines must be registered before use and require an Ecessa Insight account.  The registration process will enable the features of the product model that was purchased.  Registration is done via the devices CLI interface using the command registration register.

The information needed to register is found in a welcome email that will look like the the following example:

The steps to complete registration are as follows:

  1. In the CLI type registration register
  2. Enter your Ecessa Insight username which is the email address the welcome email was sent to.
  3. Enter the Cloud Account ID from the welcome email
  4. Enter the name of the Ecessa Insight Group that this site should be added to
  5. Enter the Purchased Serial Number from the welcome email
  6. Enter your Ecessa Insight login password
