This article is intended to provide instructions for how to verify the Ecessa device is ready for the Ecessa Insight cloud.
Ecessa Insight Cloud Signup
To receive access to the Ecessa cloud, contact Ecessa Technical Support or your sales representative and provide the following information:
- Company Name
- Serial Number(s) of Ecessa unit(s)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Requested Cloud Service
A confirmation email will be sent with the username and cloud login URL. It is required to follow the reset password link before signing into the cloud for the first time.
Management Access List
If the Ecessa device currently has the Management Access List enabled, it is necessary to add access.cloud.ecessa.com. as an allowed source as shown below. This setting can be found on the Services page in the web interface. If the access list is not enabled, this step is unnecessary.
DNS Resolvers
Confirm DNS resolvers are configured as these are required for the device to reach the cloud. These settings can be found on the Services page in the web interface. The DNS servers can be any servers capable of resolving the cloud URL. In this example, the device is configured to use Level 3 and Google public DNS servers.
